Pros

Good people and, if you can become staff, decent benefits. Depending on project, flexible work hours, and a small team feel.

Cons

On paper ICT is an amazing place where a lot of really cool things happen. In practice... This is not the place to go if you want to get something done. Everything moves at a snails pace, and management seams happy to keep it that way. Most managers care more about getting funding for next year than actually being productive. Everything is about kicking the can a little further down the road and showing incremental successes so they can justify another year or two of funding. It does not have to be good, just good enough. Way to much politics. - You are working in Academia with the Military being one of your primary funders. Everything is political. Little to no chance for advancement - If you don't have a PHD, you will not last long. NO job security. Most workers are on 3-6 month contracts, but funding can dry up an any time and you could be gone.

Pros

Flexibility on work and deadlines. Awesome workshops that lets everyone share their knowledge. Lots of intelligent people! Awesome 401k and retirement plan. USC school perks. Great views and location.

Cons

Since all the income are produced via research documents, USC school funding, and government contracts, there tends to be a lot of slack in terms of work ethics. Everyone works just enough to support their research documents to get more funding. If you want to work on something more exciting as at artist or programmer, go elsewhere. If you want a 9-5 work hour days with a 2 hour lunch in between, this is a place for you.

Pros

It is a very academic place to work. Lots of research into video game technologies with teaching and simulations. Great building designed by Hollywood designers.

Cons

A little too academic at times. They seemed to be more into research then making actual viable software. Great if your are a researcher. Not so great as a developer.
