1. As a content writer(fresher), I did not appreciate their practice of publishing almost all my articles under the founder's name. Since I put considerable hours into research, writing, and then editing the work( all of which is not as easy as it sounds) , there is no justification for my posts having someone else's name as the author.
2. The salary is a bit low for content writers, i.e between 11 to 13 k for freshers. However, this is not just the case with this company, but also with some others in the city. I think the pay should be between 15 to 20k rupees per month. Any salary lower than this range in the current times is simply laughable and not justified.
3. Just before I left, I requested the management for the links of all my posts, which were around 60. Unfortunately, they denied my request saying that they can only share the links with clients and not me, because of their policies. It's really disappointing that I wasn't provided the links to my very own work. How else am I supposed to show my work to anyone without them?
4. The guidance from the seniors could've been better. Yeah, they gave a brief overview of the do's and don'ts. However, just doing that won't suffice. For a fresher, a clear walkthrough of the technical aspects of writing is required, which they didn't provide. Even the feedback they provided with respect to my work could've been better. Yes, they did point out the proofreading errors and the ways I could change my wording to make it more readable. However, I felt that they could have explained where the keyword placement and usage in my content was falling short and how that is to be improved . I also expected a feedback about my progress as a writer every few months.
