Pros

Great Legacy application (Hard Dollar) with a strong presence in the North American market and growing internationally. Great team around Hard Dollar (at least those who are left). Parent company is a industry leader in the service market of the ineight/Hard Dollar applications. Great parent company.

Cons

InEight management led by Bill Ponsetti is a mistake. Ponsetti has the gift of gab and would and could sell his mother, but as a manager/leader, he is going nowhere fast. He smokes, is arrogant and outwardly disrespectful to co-workers/employees and is overly friendly with the female employees to the point of harassment complaints. He brought in the SAP cronies to run the company and virtually every move he has made on his strategic plan has failed. The old management had people happy to be at work. Under current management, InEight is nothing more than a SAP VAR, with goals of making easy money off of the SAP ecosystem. Unfortunately, ineight cannot get any new products to market and with poor moral, it is a good bet the Ineight will die and Hard Dollar will remain at the end of the day.

Engineering team is a disaster – No Leadership from CTO

Pros

Nice office, great location and skilled employees.

Cons

When I first started at Ineight they were improving, bringing on highly skilled people and putting a real effort into building a real software company. This has all changed, the current CTO is an old school Kiewit manager that does not have a technical bone in his body. Anyone that questions him is forced out of the company and if you are female then you are forced out of the company. Currently he is focused on getting rid of anybody that is non Kiewit and replacing with either Kiewit or outsource. I have never seen such a toxic place, the politics are just insane. Most of the Ineight employees left are looking, everyone is currently in survival mode and just keeping heads down. If you are thinking about coming to Ineight then have your head examined, this is the worst company in the valley… Stay clear

Pros

Location next to the green belt, adjustable desks, people (although most of the good ones have left or are looking)

Cons

InEight is a former commercial software company that has been turned into an extension of its parent company's IT department. The parent company is Kiewit, a construction company based in Omaha, Nebraska, and they have seeded the company with their IT managers and run off everyone who understands commercial software development. The new CTO couldn't spell the word technology if it was displayed on the Jumbotron at a Nebraska Cornhuskers football game. He offshores the majority of development to a company he used to work for, defends their extremely poor quality of work, and attacks anyone who questions this.
