Pros

Colleagues were the best part

Cons

Massive billable targets and if had a day off sick you had to make up the billiables for that day. Was wrong. Wanted you to work after hours to make up. Check ins constantly to tell you if you weren’t making billables - very stressful.

Pros

Work from home options. Time to socialise/build rapport with clients in person. No restrictions on when to take leave. Ability to take unpaid leave if desired. Travelling to/from appointments is billable so it allows time to relax and/or reflect. Freedom to write reports from home. Home and ADL assessments.

Cons

Promotions and pay are based off your ability to achieve billable KPIs more than anything else. Too many managers and “content experts”. 6.5 billable hours to reach daily KPI. Daily KPI is equivalent to your weekly income. Strong culture within management to push for monthly KPI to be achieved, regardless of whether it’s inaccurately calculated because a staff member quit. Sick leave isn’t taken into account when calculating the monthly KPI. Staff come and go regularly - needing to make new friends in the office all the time. Provisional psychologists seem to have limited support fulfilling their supervision requirements. Can feel like an admin assistant for your clients. Minimal to no in person contact with clients due to covid.
