Pros

Great teamwork Wonderful customers Great training

Cons

A lot of hoops to jump through once you receive your job in order to actually begin it Epic training didn't seem applicable to what was actually being done

Pros

The culture is really good. They try to support you if you ask for help (have to know what to ask for though). They don’t overburden you if you draw boundaries. Benefits are really great, excellent retirement contributions-PTO-and holidays. Once you learn the job you have a great work life balance. Management is approachable and kind. All of the staff is great to work with from the research departments to the clinic teams to the pharmacy and infusion staff. Management has your back (they don’t assume the worst in you and they don’t let others overburden you).

Cons

Training is minimal and disorganized. It’s hard to get immediate support, and you often need help immediately as you’re learning. There’s no room for professional development. Pay is low end of average. They are set in their ways with a, “this is how we’ve always done it” kind of attitude. There’s no recognition or validation from higher ups (no good jobs, no acknowledging anniversaries, etc). High turnover due to nature of the business-many leave for med school, so your assignments never stay constant.

Pros

Raises each year (usually), great training and feedback, system approach to minimize errors and unsafe practices, fantastic benefits (PTO/investments/health and life insurance).

Cons

Difficult to advance career into other areas of management/hospital, not satisfactorily rewarded for being above average, feel like a number.

Pros

Structured with significant brand recognition in the area. Pretty awesome benefits. Training was good, though much of that was an extremely considerate and patient trainer. It's a beautiful place to work.

Cons

fairly stressful and parking is an absolute joke! Not an easy place to commute to due to it's lack of access to major freeways.

Pros

Pros are that there are some great people who work there. I worked with a great supervisor during my time at HCI

Cons

The clinical trials office is insane. Turnover is very high but even when I was on a full staffed team there was too much work for our team to handle which quickly leads to burn out. Training was also done poorly, be ready to be thrown in before properly understanding the job responsibilities.

no growth opportunities

Pros

they will be patient when training you, executives are great to work with. Pay raise was only 5% - not enough to keep up with inflation.

Cons

no growth opportunities, they will say they prefer to promote within, but this isn't the case.
