Technical Support Agent

Pros

It's downtown, its a relaxed dress, benefits are 100% company paid, they will train you if you have the ability to learn it and ask to be taught.

Cons

The job is way more than what they tell you it is. The pay does not equal the amount of work and tongue slaying you get (from both clients and the CEO). The CEO will come out of his office yelling, throwing things, hitting walls and being belligerent. When required to travel out of town with the CEO is not compensated other than meals and hotel stay, you are not paid for the time you put in while out of town. There is no room for advancement. Any one on salary will be overworked and uncompensated.

Disappointing

Pros

Very laid back environment The non management staff are great and middle management always seem stressed out

Cons

Under paid. The job posting I replied to offered $17 an hour, but when I interviewed they said we start at $13 and then give you a pay bump after 3 months. I worked there for 6 months and did not see an increase. Management is plain unhelpful when it counts. You can ask the front line supervisor for help and you will always get vague answers. I was let go after giving my 2 weeks notice. I had no prior disciplinary issues. It was only because I found a better paying job. The job was advertised as technical support and was really a CSR position mixed with technical support. I am a technician but I spent more time dealing with sales and billing than I did technical issues. Abusive customers whom management are aware of, but they continue to leave the front line people powerless to defend themselves and management will not step in when the clients are being cruel to their support people. Unless you want to be a developer there is no real forward movement in the company. If you want to work in technical support it is impossible to move beyond tier 1 since the majority of their upper tier technicians are remote. My paycheck was constantly late! They would blame their bank if a holiday fell at all during the pay period. They would not even apologize or acknowledge that this happened. You were expected to just deal with it.

Great Starter Company w/ Lots of Potential

Pros

The biggest pro to this company currently is its success, internally and externally. The CEO constantly invests his time and finances to see its success grow from its employees, hardware, and development. Having a hard working attitude stands out, contributing to personal improvement with internet tools, networking fundamentals, website development, customer service, and more. Other great Pros are - Benefits - Laid back atmosphere - Diversity - Location - Team oriented - Open Door Policy with Management

Cons

- No 401k - Small Company growing pains
