Lack of processes and team spirit. Responsibilities overlapped. Lack of training and development programs. Hire and fire without empathy.

This company doesn’t even merit a zero—my experience at Heinemann APAC ranks firmly in the negatives. The current leadership, led by two executives who speak a lot but provide no clear strategy for turning around the business in APAC and ANZ, was profoundly disappointing. The work culture is DEEPLY TOXIC and mentally exhausting, marked by a lack of trust, transparency, accountability, and respect. Career growth is virtually nonexistent unless you’re favored by the EXCO or certain heads of departments. Most alarmingly, the company recently laid off 40% of its APAC workforce—including new hires still on probation—while bringing in high-salaried individuals handpicked by management to perform junior-level tasks. It’s a disheartening and chaotic environment I would not recommend to any professional seeking stability, growth, or integrity.
