Pros

No more Pros at all since the new management onboard in 2018

Cons

Many oversea companies left HK, and this company can relies on Mainland China only. Just a like typical Chinese company, wont growth anymore. The good things from the companies do not exist anymore, just left old stuff and buzzwords around. The actual financial figure is not that good, just using employee bonus to fulfill shares dividends. No business planning anymore, good with strategy staff are moving away from HK right now. No insight from new management, and only know how to stick with wrong direction from the government. Going to be blocked from oversea import.

Pros

They have a friendly environment amongst the advocate level and they really push for our leaders to encourage employees.

Cons

Completely disorganized, no feedback beyond motivate is given to leaders, the benefits are among the worst I have ever seen, downright laughable and they will intentionally short someones pay based on how they are feeling at the time. It's a hassle. My peer has the same experience level as me and make a $3 more an hour as a salaried employee, but I'm hourly. Senior upper management justified the huge discrepancy by saying it was based on job responsibility but I regularly have to perform his job tasks in addition to mines without notice. They change my schedule on a whim and expect me to work it.

Pros

Stable. People are old and friendly. As many staffs retired every year, you may get more opportunities. Employees do not have to contribute to MPF schemes which is very rare in Hong Kong. Employees can save money as payment on shares monthly in the Credit Union through payroll deduction.

Cons

Old seafood culture. High hierarchy. Boss is always right. People with bad manner (e.g. Never response when you say "good morning" to boss directly to their faces) Extremely underpaid company. If you're not from a GT program, they don't care about your career development at all no matter how hard you work. Since covid, their main goals are focusing on how to cut costs across all departments. Salary has been frozen for 3 years even gained consistently good performance reviews in appraisals, meanwhile company notify everyone the annual profit of company has greatly increased every year. They are still using outdated technology to check invoices which required PC to downgrade to use Window XP mode. Not willing to change or invest money to improve systems. Their technology is far behind the market for 20 years plus. Roles and responsibilities are not defined clearly. People are wasting time on meaningless work process and never think a way to improve or fix it.
