Pros

- My supervisor was very supportive and patient in onboarding the new interns, especially in the first couple weeks. - I was not micromanaged while at the same time given clear instructions on what to deliver. On some tasks, I was given the flexibility to propose my own solutions/ approaches. - I was exposed to a number of tools in this role which was valuable as this is one of my first few internships. - The people in the office are quite friendly too.

Cons

- As it is a start-up, the nature of the work is less structured. - The office is rather small; I would say it's decent, but definitely nothing fancy. - I was quite scared going into this role due to previous reviews but I don't regret taking this role in the end :)

Pros

I would need to think HARD

Cons

Absolutely appalling work environment! Let me paint a vivid picture of the nightmare that unfolds within this supposed "unicorn" company. From the very outset, they lure you in with promises of a bright future, flexible hours, and commendable performance rewards in the form of shares and options. But it's all a facade, orchestrated by manipulative bosses and HR personnel who excel at selling dreams but fail miserably at delivering even basic decency. During the interview process, they parade their prestigious backgrounds, boasting about their education from top-tier institutions like HCI, RI, NUS, and NTU. However, these credentials are nothing but a smokescreen for their abysmal lack of empathy and leadership skills. Instead of nurturing talent, they revel in their elitism, treating employees as expendable pawns in their grandiose game of corporate chess. Once you're roped into their clutches, the reality sinks in like a lead weight. Despite their claims of environmental consciousness, the company is drowning in hypocrisy, spouting green rhetoric while suffocating under a toxic cloud of insincerity. Work hours may be presented as flexible, but don't be fooled. Your phone will incessantly ping with WhatsApp messages, demanding your attention even during supposed downtime. And forget about enjoying a drink with colleagues – those so-called "drinks sessions" are merely thinly veiled excuses to coerce employees into minute-taking and other menial tasks. As for the management team, they're nothing more than a gaggle of inflated egos occupying space in the ivory tower. Seniority means nothing when it's devoid of genuine leadership, and the heads and directors are mere figureheads, contributing nothing of substance beyond their pompous presence. In short, this company is a cesspool of false promises, elitist attitudes, and soul-crushing micromanagement. So, don't be fooled by their carefully crafted image – scratch beneath the surface, and you'll find a company that's as inclusive and diverse as a country club in the 1950s. If you value equality and respect in the workplace, steer clear of this den of hypocrisy and discrimination.
