Pros

There are no Pros to work at this company, unless you just need an employment to get you by.

Cons

There is a reason why the company goes through so much candy in the lobby. It is because of the unwelcoming personality that greets you at the door. And that is the beginning of the journey... While working there you feel like you are enclosed inside a submarine with lack of oxygen. Concepts of open space are not familiar to this company and it feels like everyone is trying to hide inside their offices with doors shut. Lack of space is something the owners have been aware of for a while, but unfortunately it is more important to them to stay close to home, than what the employees feel being stuck in this overpopulated box. Nepotism rules inside GTreasury. If you are not a family member or a friend of the family you will not be listened to. Communication is not promoted period. Top Management is never seen in the office and employees have no idea what they are doing, except for getting new titles and being admired by the owners of the company. There is no room for growth. No advancement. If there are issues with clients, documentation, anything at all, the employees are to blame, because management is "perfect". It is also mind boggling that all of the company is being told to use Linkedin to promote the company for their benefits. I am sorry, but that is just wrong. You supposedly have extraordinary marketing department. So do your job! HR does not exist, because it is run by the owners again, so any issues you have will have to be swallowed whole and maybe later discussed with your psychologist, because this place will get you there. I felt joy and wanted to yell out Freedom! when I stepped out of this hell hole for the very last time. Never again!!! I do feel bad for the compadres I left behind and wish those few brave people a healthy recovery, when they finally make the change.

Pros

Good pay, but they're probably a good case study in what can happen to a family-owned company

Cons

This place is about as bad as it gets for professional office jobs. It rates as the worst job I have ever had and one of the worse experiences of my life. I worked in the marketing area producing content. This company is a sinking ship. They haven't been profitable in years, and the wheels are coming off. Leadership is frantically pushing teams to come up with technology without understanding the resources required to get those things done. This all equates to high stress at every level, micromanagement, poor communication, and an organizational inability to get things done. Turnover, while always high, is at staggering levels. There seems to be a trend toward eliminating/laying off long-term employees while hiring cheaper substitutes (this was confirmed by my former manager while I was still at the company). They're hiring and firing at the same time, and the results are chaotic to say the least. All of this started happening after the company received a majority investment from MainSail, which buys companies, rapidly builds them beyond their capacity (at the expense of employees), and then sells them off after five years. It's disgusting, as GTreasury used to be a wonderful place to work. But to borrow a line from a Cyndi Lauper song, "money changes everything." They often brag on social media about their "values," but they do not care one whit about their employees. Those who lost their jobs were shown the door without absolutely no warning. The sociopathic CEO is the sort of person who won't acknowledge you if he sees you in the hallway, even if he knows who you are to begin with.
