      High Ratios and Little Support

      I cannot think of any pros.

      Cons

      High Ratios, little support, understaffed, underpaid and unappreciated- new teachers make more than teachers who have been here for years. Facilities are not managed well. Playgrounds are trash. Buildings have rats. Terrible benefits.

      Working in child care is incredibly rewarding because you get to make a positive impact on children’s growth and development every day. It’s a creative, energetic environment where you build meaningful relationships and learn valuable skills in communication and patience. Plus, seeing kids learn and reach milestones brings a real sense of fulfillment.

      Working in child care can be physically and emotionally demanding, with long hours and lots of responsibility.
