Pros

There are some really good, smart people to work with at Grove. Decent pay. All expenses paid trip to the annual company meeting in San Francisco. Employee discount on all products we sell and we also got samples of some of the Grove Co brand products that we developed. Small, scrappy teams – opportunities to help out on lots of cool projects.

Cons

There are also some really not smart people working there, and unfortunately they're director level managers and up. Lots of bad decisions from bad managers which led to layoffs literally every 3 months. Lots money wasted on redundant systems, inefficient workflow and operations processes leading to botched product launches and products going out of stock. Absolutely disasterous Shopify transition — that whole team should be gutted.

Pros

- Leadership / CEO; Jeff is a motivating CEO and shows up every day with a mindset that makes you want to get to work. He doesn't sugarcoat the fact that the business is in the midst of a turnaround, and he motivates everyone to "trust the process" - The remote first culture is a big benefit of working at Grove. - There is plenty of work to do, and everyone is working at the top of their license. - The Grove team members are a pleasure to work. - There is a mission behind the work we're doing.

Cons

- It is no secret that the business is in the middle of a turnaround. This creates some uncertainty over the near to midterm horizon, and adds some pressure to the work that is being done. - Priorities can feel a bit chaotic given the ever changing business landscape, and this "chaos" can be tough to work through at times. - It would be great to see a 401k match as an added benefit, but the teams understand why it's hard to execute on this at this time.

Thank you for sharing your feedback. It's true that working in a fully remote environment that's going through a lot of change can be a real challenge. In 2025, we'll be laser focused on refining how we work together in a remote-first environment and we're certain that this will be one of our superpowers in due time. Thanks again! Grove Talent Team
