I applied through a recruiter. The process took 2 days. I interviewed at Grove Collaborative (San Francisco, CA (US)) in April 2020.
Interview
1. Recruiter reached out via LinkedIn.
2. 30 min call with the Hiring Manager. Don’t expect any pleasantries. He dove right into a spiel on Grove Collaborative the way a high-pressure salesman or recruiter would. When I asked about Diversity & Inclusion, I was shocked when he said Grove Collaborative has a good culture for Diversity & Inclusion and is a good place for female engineers. Definitely not the impression I got from our 30 minute call. Sounded like a very cold, ruthless, high-pressure, high-stress environment where empathy and soft skills have no place. Came across as a "what can you do for me" culture.
