Great place to start, but culture and growth opportunities have declined
Pros
Few years ago, Gentrack was a great place to grow. The company actively encouraged learning and development (L&D) with dedicated time set aside each week for upskilling. There were genuine efforts to foster a culture of growth and continuous learning. Friendly colleagues and a generally supportive environment within teams.
Cons
Over time, things have shifted. The company has discontinued access to Udemy and no longer promotes L&D the way it used to. Bureaucracy has increased significantly, and there's a growing sense of internal politics that affects team morale and transparency. Employee feedback scores have been declining each year, and the reasons behind it are becoming more visible internally. There's currently a lack of a clear and fair structure for employee career progression. Talented individuals are often left without the recognition or promotion they deserve.
