Landed this job after a previous layoff with the assurance that the team was growing and the company was very stable. Seemed ideal. Laid off with many others within less than a year at the first sighting of potential tariffs. Knee jerk reactions to hire/eliminate personnel on momentary business demands is frankly immoral. Layoffs and RIF are not unknown here. Job performance is not analyzed or weighted accurately. There are wildly different calibers of team members. Leadership will put strain on project/product teams to produce great results in aggressive timelines. Nothing unexpected really, just a tradeoff that exists.
