The extremely high volume of calls, radiologist requests and study prep leads to burnout quickly. There is no such thing as downtime. None. If you are able to step away for 5 minutes for a restroom break the list and backlog falls apart. Because of the above there are chronically acute staffing issues

RSS position has the most responsibility (aside from the Radiologist) in this company and it continues to grow. Everything is passed off onto this position with no compensation or additional help creating an ever more stressful work environment. Multiple people messaging you to do “stat” things and then back to back phone calls ranging from clients to patients (who aren’t even suppose to be calling us) requesting things then and there. Working every other Weekend with this awful rotating shift during the week that is not consistent. If you have a family/friends/school/second job/life this won’t work out for you probably. Your co workers will come up with excuses as to why their phones are set on Busy and status will be Busy for extended periods of time and you will be Bombarded with calls and messages because you’re the only honest employee there making you hate this job. (Again back to the over worked aspect of this position, I believe it’s making good people become awful employees/co workers)
