Pros

Big Projects that look good on the resume. Very Talented Colleagues. Legitimate organisation.

Cons

In a general state of crunch. A generally stressed environment. Poor work life balance. Wage is generally on the lower end of animation jobs in Australia.

Pros

Very cool cutting edge projects, all my coworkers are nice and a pleasure to work with, incredibly kind, hard working and talented people.

Cons

Schedules are tight, often unreasonable long term+ quotas are high. Pay is sub par compared to other australian studios and not worth breaking your body over. I’ve been here for years and it’s not changing any time soon. Projects are held together by the fumes (and unpaid overtime) of loyal employees who don’t want to see a project fail. Don’t work here unless the most important thing to you is a cool project.

It's not worth the crunch despite the projects

Pros

The staff itself is seriously talented and they have plenty of resources to train the artists.

Cons

If you are not actively crunching, you are seen as a problem. Regardless of your best efforts, they will compare you against the fastest employees and favour those who push themselves to exhaustion. They keep throwing around the word infamous word "family" despite only caring about numbers. Please do not give in to this culture, it's a self perpetuating cycle. Respect your health and your body, it's not worth destroying over a fancy CV credit.
