The advantage of convenience/flexibility doesn't make up for the poor treatment and pay
Pros
1. You can choose how much you work, and how much you charge 2. They don't take commission
Cons
1. Your quote will never get picked unless it is at or below the suggested rate by Flitto which is often barely above the national minimum wage if you calculate the time it takes to read, send quotes & do the translation. There is no incentive to provide high quality translations, and you often simply waste time sending quotes. 2. Provided they don't charge commission to the translators, it is understandable that they own the IP of your translated work and sell it off for data / use it to develop their AI translation technology. However, since they rely completely on their translators for their IP and income, they should at least grant their translators a sliver of respect. Their customer service provides the most unpleasant experience, almost proudly treating their translators as disposable.
