Ferns Group has an employee rating of 2.5 out of 5 stars, based on 15 company reviews on Glassdoor which indicates that most employees have an average working experience there.
Pay is good but isnt worth it for the inconsistent work or lack of development.
Cons
Inconsistent work , never know what your doing the next day until 6-7 in the evening not an ideal way to work. Managers rely too much on staff to complete work to unrealistic deadlines.
Stress in this job doesn’t out weight the good pay. No motivation in teams everyone is just there to get paid and do as little as possible aswell as having no passion for the work they are doing.
Great office environment, good people to work with, management are fair and supportive. Parking is free, car charging facilities available, full training and support given by colleagues and everyone is very approachable if you need help. Best part of this job was that I didn't mind being stuck in an office for 10 hours a day with those guys.
Cons
the quarry is very dusty (sand quarry) - this dust gets everywhere and makes vehicles very dirty - though there is a jet wash on site that can be used free of charge. The workload can be high, very busy and very demanding, sometimes it can be quiet but it can also be extremely busy and high stress at times, weekend working is not contracted but expected regularly.
