Pros

- Good opportunity for travelling.

Cons

Job cuts, Cold way of treating people, lot of exec leadership change has led to disengagement with wider org. Fenergo used to have a very strong people culture, particularly in the Dublin office. That's no longer the case. Lay-offs were handled particularly callously especially for colleagues who have worked here for over 5 years. The company clearly has a mandate to cut cost in any way possible and this has been reflected in the office refurbishment being put on hold, Company Updates being held in the Canteen rather than in a previous venue, change in expense procedures, etc. All of which are fine but the manor in which changes have been implemented haven't really taken employees into consideration at all. The most frustrating thing about Fenergo is the clock and dagger and mixed messages from our Leadership team. The constant reshuffle at the top and change up in org structures nearly every year has resulted in many colleagues feeling disenfranchised with the company and de-motiviated to contribute as much as it's widely considered that career paths will all be changed again by the next year.

Pros

Non managerial staff are really good

Cons

Fenergo is a completely dishonest company which can bee seen in these reviews most of the positive ones are from the same date Nov 11th 2016 which just so happens to be a date some interns worked in the office and was a desperate attempt to attract staff when there was a big pr stunt for hiring 200 people. This culture continues inside the company constantly changing company direction just to chase clients. They try to portray a good company culture but unless you are part of the ‘click’ you are pretty much seen as a workhorse.

Pros

There is good people in the company or at least their used to be (probably been made redundant lately with no explanation as to why them and not someone else in the same role)

Cons

- no clear transparency in the company - say one thing but do another it seems (as in not looking to go the redundancy route and people were already made redundant when that was stated) - too many employees ride off the coattails off other employees at a lower level of seniority - management is next to non-existent - encouraged at times to voice your opinion and then nothing happens with your opinion unless you gave a positive opinion. Negative opinions are too much hassle and work for managers - I was made redundant and when I asked as to what the selection criteria for me and other employees who were made redundant at the same time, I was lied to - I was in a meeting with a Hr rep and one of company VPs about the reasoning and I was told they would find this out for me. - it turns out the company VP I was chatting to who told me they would find out the selection criteria for me s in the fact the person who came up with the selection criteria. - they tried to pin it on another manager - set up meeting with this VP which was cancelled at the last minute and then they went on annual leave for the rest of my redundancy and avoided the conversation - I sent an email with my person emails details in order for him to respond with this answer. 4 months later still waiting for that answer - I had numerous consultation meetings with HR as to next steps - I was given a list of all available jobs at that time. - the one I was interested one from the list I was told is gone (why is it on the list then) - I was given a whole week to pick brand new career with next to no guidance - when I chose to not apply for a new role I asked then is that means I am officially made redundant. Hr responded by saying not exactly as there may be alternative options. - I of course asked what were the alternative options - I was told ‘I am not sure’ - by the end of the same meeting they then wanted to confirm if I was taking redundancy…. - they are numerous other issues with this company such as lack of support, no bottle when it comes to clients, too many people in the wrong jobs, too many ‘yes’ people to name a few - I was actually relieved in a sense to get made redundant and get me out of this company; which is the same feeling I understand of majority of employees currently still employed by Fenergo. *Please Note: For anyone reading this review, do not be surprised to all of a sudden see maybe 2-3 new reviews saying how good the company is. I have noticed this trend for a very long time with Fenergo on glass door; once you see a somewhat negative review you will then usually a very vague positive reviews giving next to no detail or having much relevance for anyone looking to potentially join Fenergo. It seems like someone in HR potentially is tasked with keeping on eyes on reviews such as there and to try and counteract the negative to keep star rating at a decent level.
