Pros

- Great clientele which comes with experience - Quick 40 min facials with no fuss of facial or body massage - Open space setting - Lots of way to make more $$ with add on services & product recommendations - Tips on top of your hourly - Shifts can range from 4 - 8 hours - Quarterly product training with in house brands plus gratis if you attend - Employee discount on products - Employee monthly facials if booked on non-busy hours - Initial training provided - Autonomy

Cons

- Employees are not treated as professionals, and while basic training is provided, colleagues do not share knowledge freely. - un-professional management systems re dealing with employees issues - management berates staff in regards to the smallest and pettiest of things - Changes are made by senior management almost on a monthly basis of the most irrelevant issues. - There's definitely a clique vibe with some of the women. Expect to be left to your own devices if you are not part of the sophomoric clique. - Minimum hourly rate - No room for growth - No further training provided unless there's a new protocol introduced to the menu - - un-professional colored uniforms. Does not set the tone for a spa like facial salon. We look like we work in a fro-yo store or a cafe. - No end of year Christmas bonus/present - No break room or microwave as per the original owners

Pros

If you’re open to it, you can learn a lot from your fellow estheticians.

Cons

Haus management wasn’t given enough opportunity to run the business without meddling from higher ups. Bad resource management. Poor fiscal management. Be prepared to be micromanaged to the n’th degree.

Pros

Great concept as others have stated. Eminence products are nice and love that they only use clean ingredients. Really lovely staff for the most part. Good place to start out if you have no experience. Pretty busy.

Cons

Extremely low pay. As an Esthetician with prior experience, I currently make a couple cents above minimum wage. The only way to make a living is to push clients to buy add ons that they don’t necessarily need. A lot of the add ons (not all) are completely pointless and don’t necessarily make a difference in the client’s skin. Despite what management believes, clients can absolutely tell when you’re not being straight up with them in terms of what their skin needs. Management absolutely prioritizes sales above client experience. Estheticians that share this view are constantly praised, while those of us who view our clients as people and not a walking wallet are reprimanded. Although the products are great, they are slowly replacing back bar with Face Haus branded products which are fragranced artificially and just generally not as high quality as what we’re used to using. In terms of management, there seems to be no CEO. (?) The COO, as many have mentioned, seems to nice in meetings but has her own penny - pinching agenda. Extremely high turnover in terms of management. Managers are constantly getting hired and quitting because they cannot handle the workload and low pay.
