Pros

I feel really lucky to be at FXcompared. It's easily the best place I've ever worked. The people are all very friendly, bright, and driven. It definitely feels like everyone here is working towards a common goal collectively as a team. Communication between teams is very open, it's pretty easy to find someone to help when you need it. The culture here is awesome, too. There's a big focus on transparency, no politics and ensuring everyone has fun in making FXcompared an incredible company. Employees are at the heart of the company, and the management ensures there is an incredible focus on having a great work/life balance. Feedback is requested on a regular basis and all members of the company are expected to contribute to shaping the culture of the company. This is by far the most rewarding place I've ever worked. I love what I do and the people I work with. I feel fortunate to work for a company that's doing something disruptive and interesting. It's a very exciting place to be and things move very quickly - lots of opportunities as the company grows. I can't imagine working anywhere else.

Cons

As the business is growing, it at times lacks process and structure which is normally in place at a large multinational. This is slowly changing as the team begin to contribute in developing and implementing these processes.

Pros

- Collaborative and intelligent team - Exposure to real-world data challenges in the fintech space, lots of learning opportunities with huge datasets - Everyone is happy to help - Work-life balance is great, with lots of flexibility - Very fast-moving environment - Lovely new office space in central London

Cons

- one of the cons that come with a fast-moving environment is a lot of pressure to get work done fast. Personally I enjoy the pressure a bit, it makes the work very satisfying!

Thank you for taking the time to share such a thoughtful and constructive review! We're especially proud of the collaborative culture and the level of intelligence and curiosity across our team, so it's great to see that reflected in your day-to-day. Real-world data challenges are no joke (as you know!), and it’s brilliant to hear you're finding them rewarding and full of learning opportunities. We also appreciate your candour about the pace. It's true, fast-moving environments can bring intensity alongside opportunity. We’re glad to hear you're thriving on that momentum, and we’re always working to ensure the right balance of stretch, support and breathing space. If ever that balance feels off, we encourage open conversation as pressure should energise, not overwhelm. Lastly, we're chuffed that you like the new office! It’s a lovely hub for our team to collaborate, caffeinate even have some downtime. Thanks again for the feedback — we’re so pleased to have you with us.

Pros

- Interesting product suite and projects, with a great range of clients - As the company is scaling there are lots of opportunities to get involved in different ways - Great communication from the CEO via weekly meetings and regular catch-ups with his teams -Flexibility to work remotely - External coaching offered to employees which is a unique benefit

Cons

- Tech team is primarily remote so whilst there is a main London office there are limitations on in person collaboration - With the exception of coaching the benefits package is fairly standard compared to the rest of the industry (25 days holiday) - Some roles have an expanded scope beyond the standard expected responsibilities (to be expected of a company in the process of growing, but may also be a pro for many people!)
