Pros

If you're able to conform and say yes to bad ideas then you'll fit in greatly. In doing so, you'll be safe in your role for years. If you speak out and suggest new ideas against the established then you'll be shown the door. The benefits are good as is the company view on taking time off.

Cons

Company produces new products and you see the competition already has them out and does it better. Marketing will state what a great innovation the product is but reviews show they fall short of what others have already done and are doing.

F-Secure doesn't value employees

Pros

Good company with sense of purpose; global reach, and noble intentions.

Cons

Doesn't value high performing employees, unless Director or above. Either no salary increase, or very minimal, about 1%, even when review is very good.

Pros

- Decent brand - Convenient office location - Technical people to learn from

Cons

- 'Research-Led' but it's very hard to get research time. Most of it comes out of overseas dedicated research team. Expect to be constantly pushed into projects with little downtime. - Most consultant just get stuck doing boring jobs that are easier to sell. - Progression is slow. Once you move up from associate it's very hard to become senior. Goals are always changing, and you're expected to constantly take on more responsibility, usually with little or no raise. - There is a good amount of politics and it's hard to know who to trust. Those who can get to the inner circles with the management typically fare better. - Alcohol and gambling (with chips) in office after hours. This is the culture here if you wish to mingle. - Directors seem to operate in their own little kingdom in Singapore. Anyone that presents a sub-optimal image to global are quickly and harshly dealt with.
