Pros

The civil service pension, some good genuine colleagues but who have either been compelled to resign or have been HR,d out of the organisation...speaks of itself.

Cons

Poor leadership, draconian and dystopian senior management with little understanding of culture and people skills. Chronic corporate fetishising and almost little if any progression for black ethnic minority and or disabled people. Overrun by middle class white able bodied with a preference towards women and those of non traditional orientations

Pros

- some lovely colleagues who really want to help with equality issues - flexible working

Cons

- Out-of-touch management who are oblivious to real issues in Britain - No accountability for constant project delays but lots of praise for doing the minimum - Learning and development opportunities oversold at recruitment stage - more effort needed to integrate new starters - Illusion of transparency with pay grades - undervalue some roles - Obsession with hierarchy and process at the expense of common sense and efficiency - uneven workloads - don't always practice what they preach for respectful workplace

Pros

- Great colleagues - Great cause - Flexible working - 30 days holiday - Good pension - Amazing technology and IT team - Autonomous working

Cons

- Year on year budget cuts meaning staff are stretched - Mainly recruiting to Manchester which limits opportunities for some in the Commission - particularly colleagues in the London Office
