Some of the best elements about working at Environ was I always felt part of the team. I have to say as a women working in a predominantly male industry you can perhaps expect to be treated different however this was not the case at Environ at all. I always felt I was treated with respect and inclusivity. My ideas were not only valued but also supported by management and I received comprehensive training in the intricacies of construction, damp and property management. The company fostered an environment where I felt comfortable being open, and they supported me throughout my studies outside of regular working hours. I dedicated over two years to my full-time role there, and the only reason I decided to leave was to pursue a career in mental health—a decision that the company always encouraged. Company outings were a regular occurrence or lunches together, contributing to a genuine sense of community. In my view the hard work put in by employee's was not only acknowledged but also rewarded. A lot of the tradesmen & women I worked with started as a labourers and quickly moved up the ranks, being trained to be drainage engineers, surveyors or damp engineers to name a few. So I actually saw investment in the staff progression. I have a very fond view of my time there and the people I worked with.

I had a great experience working at Environ Property Services for 8 years. The company's supportive work culture and encouragement to succeed made it a great place to work. The company is a family- run business, however they made all their employees feel special and part of the Environ family. The directors have an open door policy, which allows you to ask questions, bounce ideas off each other and discuss any concerns. After my time at Environ I gained invaluable knowledge and skills that have helped me succeed in my role following my departure.
