Pros

Free breakfast and tea trolleys

Cons

Worked here a while ...Applied online went through interview everything seemed so professional ,induction was great Once you start dialing then you see real pictures as a sales consultant. They have got very limited leads that all staff have been dialing for last two years since they open in Auckland branch. They force there staff to harass people by calling them over and over again. As a bsc I was forced to call people over and over again. They don’t care when people are really sick of our calls all they care about is there meeting booked to sell products through bdm”s When I start this job thought this is it my career path start here but didn’t turn out that way.I was only one month in this job 6 people resigned because of the sales pressure they put on. They have good reputation at the moment only because people we have to harass don’t know company name yet once they get familiar with employsure name that’s when they will start putting bad reviews as reality. It’s a shame that they provide hr services to other business and don’t even care about there own employees .They get rid of most of the team in 90 days trial if can’t get enough numbers

Pros

Employsure pays above market value for the NZ market. Most of my colleagues were vibrant, driven people. Employsure does have generous incentives and bonuses including overseas trips.

Cons

Employsure is a company obsessed with image and positive PR. It undoubtedly has a great marketing team and a very aggressive sales team. However, unfortunately for those on the ground, the reality differs very greatly from the rhetoric espoused by management. The great irony is that Employsure at its core is really a HR advisory company, yet the morale of its staff, and their working conditions is abysmal. I spoke to many people who have recently left, and some who are still at Employsure now, and they will attest to the fact that you are worked beyond your limits, and treated as nothing more than a measure of productivity. I would routinely work 60 hours a week (on a 38 her per week salary) as would many members in my team and other teams. I raised this with management, as we would advise our clients to avoid such situations with their employees. The response I got was literally "you obviously aren't working efficiently enough". The issue is not one of efficiency but rather one of unrealistic expectations and SLAs. This is a serious area of exposure for the Company and I would suggest it revises its practices in this respect. I wanted Employsure to be a place I spent a lot of time but I was extremely unfulfilled with the nature of the work. It felt very monotonous and dull and there was little to no opportunity to upskill or to develop. Again, I raised these concerns with management. I was told there would be opportunities beyond the normal core role I was working but these were not forthcoming. I was over qualified for the role I worked. There is no need for a legal background for the Consultant role. The role is effectively meeting with clients and editing templates to fit their needs. This is obviously a nut shell assessment but if you are expecting to use legal skills beyond contract formation (essentially limited editing of heavily templated precedents and putting logos on documents) then you will be disappointed.

It sounds like you’ve not had a great experience. Unfortunately your claims aren’t echoed around the company however I’d be happy to speak more about your issues if you wanted to reach out. Michael - Head of Talent
