Pros

- **Good Work-Life Balance:** The company has historically maintained a good work-life balance, allowing employees to manage their personal and professional commitments effectively. - **Workload:** The workload is substantial, which can be seen as an opportunity for those looking to immerse themselves in their projects and make a significant impact.

Cons

- **Stagnant Growth:** Career progression can feel stagnant, with limited opportunities for advancement or diversification of skills. - **Compensation:** Annual pay raises are modest, which may not align with the market standards or individual expectations of growth. - **Bonus Policy:** The bonus policy is tied to goals that may not always reflect individual performance or contributions, leading to dissatisfaction among some employees. - **Increasing Workload:** There is a concern that the previously mentioned good work-life balance is being eroded due to an increase in workload, which could affect employee satisfaction and retention.

Pros

Friendly and nice coworkers but nothing more other than that.

Cons

The current management style and workplace expectations do not foster an environment for professional growth. There is a rigid expectation for long hours (8 AM–6 PM) with little regard for work-life balance. Constant micromanagement and unrealistic execution timelines—especially when coordinating across difficult overseas time zones—create a high-stress environment. Management’s communication style can often feel patronizing, leading to quick burnout and low motivation. Furthermore, there is a glaring, organization-wide retention issue: the vast majority of employees who are not tied to the company via visa sponsorship have either already resigned or are actively planning their exit. Management appears to leverage visa dependencies to sustain these intense working conditions, resulting in an environment where the only people staying are those who feel they have no choice.

Pros

There are some experienced engineers in this group. (Even thought a few and they’re finding a way to leave)

Cons

I’m writing this to warn anyone looking at jobs in the Allen, Texas office for the Product Engineering group. I wish I had known what the culture was like before I joined. The biggest issue is the local leadership. It feels less like a professional team and more like a one-man show run by a dictator. The director here doesn't want to hear any feedback or new ideas. He only surrounds himself with people who agree with everything he says. If you try to speak up or suggest a better way to do things, you’re shut down immediately. Because the Allen office is so far from headquarters, this director gets away with things that upper management never sees. He is great at hiding the real problems in our group whenever the topic comes up in company meetings. It feels like he’s running his own separate company and just ignoring the rest of the organization. The environment is honestly pretty miserable. There is no sense of humor, no teamwork, and no support. It’s no surprise that we have a really high turnover rate, people leave as fast as they can because they get tired of being treated poorly. I’ve heard this isn't the first time this manager has had these kinds of issues at other big companies, and it’s a shame that HR hasn't stepped in to fix it yet. If you value your mental health and want a place where you can actually do your job without being micro-managed or belittled, I would suggest looking for a different team or a different company entirely. Don't let the company brand name fool you; the experience on the ground here is completely different.
