Pros

The health benefits are paid for you, and although they've been reduced slightly, are probably the best that you can attain anywhere. You can work 14 hours days, 7 days a week if you so choose to. Overtime pay time and a half begins after 8 hours. Able to work most holidays for double-time pay. Paid holidays, including birthday. Paid Vacation after one year.

Cons

Constantly forced overtime. You'll work for decades before being able to work a day shift. All dock employees start on call. You'll almost never know when you're working or be off work. Impossible to plan your life even 24 hours In advance. New hires are told confusing, blatantly untrue information about pay rates, vacation, sick pay, etc. Poorly managed company, the combined product of two huge trucking corporations. Outright lying about everything, purposely manipulative tactics employed to keep employees happy, therefore destroying the success that could be gleaned from a positive work environment. The pension plan was reduced by 75% the payrate by 15%, creating a very angry, betrayed workforce. All promises to restore the payrate and pension have been backed out of. New employees are hard to retain, and quickly find better employment. Lowest paying Teamster trucking company in the industry.
