Pros

The Copy Editing team is wonderful (other Copy Editors, not superiors)

Cons

Human Resources has a terrible management of the company, for months, we called Fridays "layoff Fridays" because, due to their lack of ability to correctly run their business and blame being put on entry level employees, they kept firing people on those days without warning or explanation given to them. They send company-wide emails when you pass the 3 month trial period, which shows they are aware it is a feat and not as normal as one would expect. We saw people getting called to meetings or messaged to warn them they were not sitting correctly (always women, men were never warned). In particular, the Editorial Manager lacked common empathy and seemed to enjoy berating employees that asked for well-deserved raises. They even go as far as saying that as per company policy, raises take six months to be approved (and they commonly are denied after that period). Overtime in Uruguay is paid double a normal hour, and they commonly pay them like any other hour, calling them a monthly "effort bonus". Mainly, it is a company that (at least in its Aguada, Montevideo office) does not value its employees and will go to great lengths to make the experience of working there a terrible one, which is why the turnover is substantially higher than at other Wunderman Thompson offices. Not to mention the extremely below market wages (4-6 USD an hour) and long hours. Due to the horrific working conditions, an investigation was done that, so far (a couple of months have gone by) has yielded no results or changes, besides moving the Editorial Manager to a different floor to prevent micromanaging (which still very much happens). They also erase all reviews that paint them in a negative light, which I think is very telling of their MO.

Pros

Flexibility, decent benefits, competitive pay, remote work

Cons

Just like any agency, if a client pulls an account or the C-Suite decides to cut budgets, everyone is on the chopping block.

Pros

Not one good thing in this company

Cons

Everything. worst culture, back stabbers, employees are just a number to them, dishonest, no organization, my first week of the job the manager that hired me was talking about leaving work because they can’t do it anymore (so why did you hire me). No training and expect you to just simply know things without them even explaining it to you not once. Worked there for almost 4 years not one person I knew or knew of was ever promoted zero growth opportunities. The company itself does not encourage growth they just want everyone to do a job and stain that job for 30 years 40 years they don’t care at all.
