Pros
The model and theory behind the work is correct given the organization's role in the world of anti-hunger advocacy. Enthusiastic, talented people who are excited about the work they're doing and it shows. My direct managers were always helpful, communicative, and invested in my personal development and happiness at the organization.
Cons
Some staff changes at the time had left us understaffed, particularly in important programmatic work Much of the work supports other organizations, and from a development standpoint the line between advocating for yourselves and taking credit for others achievements can be difficult to navigate A feast/famine model in regards to both work and funding - some periods had long hours and weekends in preparation for events while others were very easy and flexible.
