Pros

WebFX was absolute cultural whiplash for me. I started my career here in my mid-20s, and if I’m being completely honest, the friendliness and the smiling and the positivity and earnest sincerity kind of freaked me out at first. Much of my life prior to this had been spent in some pretty intense environments that didn't place a lot of value on encouragement or friendly support, and so this meant that absolutely nothing in my life had prepared me for how to react in an environment like WebFX. I reacted the only way I knew how, which was to convince myself that there had to be “a catch”. In my early days here, I found myself constantly on the defensive, wondering what was “behind” all the smiles, and on-guard for how every earnest, kind gesture might possibly come back to bite me. Looking back, it’s honestly a little embarrassing to remember it now, but that was my experience at the time. But time went on and the catch just...never came. Bit by bit, I started loosening up and actually engaging when my team leads would ask how my work was going, or if I needed help with anything, or what I was proud of that week. And you know what? Turns out they really just wanted to help me succeed all along. Turns out there was no “gotcha!” coming. As I gradually came to realize, everyone here is exactly as nice as they seem, and if I have any regrets about my time at WebFX so far, it’s that I didn’t let myself take a deep breath and believe that earlier. I guess the message I’m trying to convey is that if you’re not used to an environment of encouragement, positivity, and everyone constantly lifting each other up, WebFX might feel like a total and complete culture shock, and I can attest to that firsthand. But what you see is truly what you get. No tricks, no lies - it's the real deal. So aside from all of this, what else do I like about working here? A few of the biggest pros that definitely deserve a shout-out are: *The stability. I've been here through Covid, through shakeups in the tech industry, and we’ve not had a single round of layoffs that I’ve ever seen. I’ve never once doubted that the company is in serious trouble, or that my job is at risk. Leadership is transparent, consistently asks for feedback and for if there's anything they can improve on. *The growth opportunities. Promotions here are steady, transparent, and readily available if you’re showing up and working hard. You can grow your career here without having to job hop every few years, and your mentors will work with you to help identify goals for yourself, and then also to help you reach them. *The people. The people here are hardworking, smart, enthusiastic, kind, curious, and generous with their time and ideas - people bring their A-game here, and personally, that inspires me to show up every day and push myself too. *The challenge. I don’t care what department you’re in at WebFX - I guarantee, your job will not be boring. There is always something happening, and there’s always a new challenge to tackle. If you’re looking for a job where you just clock in, clock out, and don’t have to think about too much in-between, then this might not be your cup of tea, but for me, I love the challenge of it, and the way it absorbs my full attention during the work day. Basically, if you’re looking for a stable job with supportive mentors, with hardworking, friendly, and engaged coworkers, that will teach you something new every day and challenge you mentally, then I think you’ll find that here!

Cons

Less of a con, and more of a caution! The nature of the work structure at WebFX is such that there is always more work you *could* do - rather than it being a project-based work cycle where a project will finish, and then you have to wait for the next one to come along, leaving you with chunks of time in-between where there's literally just no work for you to do. Because of this structure, it can be really easy (especially when you're first getting started!) to put the pressure on yourself to work harder, faster, longer, etc - and then start to panic when, no matter how hard you work, you never get to "the end" of your work. If you're someone who might be prone to this type of self-pressuring, your coach is an amazing resource and a great sounding board who can help you figure out how to balance your schedule, and find appropriate places to cut yourself off so that you can leave at the end of the day feeling satisfied, rest, and come back energized the next day.

Pros

Not going to sugarcoat it - the work is hard and the expectations are real. But the flip side is you actually learn things and move up if you perform. I went from jr to sr in a reasonable timeframe because the progression path is transparent and based on merit. FXLearns certifications, ongoing training, solid coaching. The office perks are a cherry on top - snacks, coffee, gym, standing desks. The StemFX scholarship program and charity initiatives make you feel like the work matters beyond revenue.

Cons

The pace is fast and you can fall behind if you don't focus. There's a lot of change - new tools, new processes, new initiatives rolling out constantly. Adapting is part of the job. I'd also say client work can be draining depending on who you're working with. Some clients are great, others... less so.

Pros

Wow! So many pro's,..Where do I start? Gotta say that the people here that I get to work with are just amazing. Each day I look forward to being here with them and overcoming any challenge together. At day one the positivity and care shown to myself, for each other, for our clients and for the common goal of the company is evident. Powered by positivity isn't just a slogan here, but a way of life that is infectious. That starts with a vision and great leadership from the top down. From the first tour through our campus, to our team celebrations and to our amazing company wide events I have been treated like family. The perks feel endless with our own in-house barista, food trucks, snack walls, fitness gym, kayaks, bikes, bring your pet to work desks and an awesome atmosphere designed for healthy productivity. All of this is located on a beautiful campus overlooking the Susquehanna river here in Central Pa. If your looking for a place that feels more than just a workplace and to be who you are. Would you be excited to grow along side incredible people towards a common goal and have a blast doing it this is the place for you! Speaking for myself it is the very best place I could have ever asked for employment and it feels like home.

Cons

I personally don't have any cons at the moment. I just grateful.
