Pros

The managers at my store are Very Nice. The hours are conducive to my schedule. The people I work with are great. I get a LOT of walking done in my day. You accrue PPTO (Protected Personal Time Off) as you go which protects you from having to use points when you need to call off. You get 5 points. Which is a lot if you are committed to your job.

Cons

The pay is only $14 an hour. I've been there 5 years and I'm making the same money the new hires make. This is frustrating. For you new hires, You miss a day you get a point. So DONT call off until you have accrued enough PPTO (personal Protected Time Off) to cover your day. The new kids now don't realize you are automatically fired if you miss 5 days and don't use your PPTO. So don't just not show up! No call no show is 2 points. So if you just decide not to show up for 3 times and don't call in. You are FIRED. Also, the theft has increased a lot which makes our jobs in SCO more demanding.

Pros

Advancement opportunities, great at developing skills, great place to learn a skill and grow your resume, or grow with the company.

Cons

Understaffing issues negatively affects all parts of their business. However, Walmart has increased their minimum hourly rate with hopes to attract more committed employees, and retain better employees.
