We really appreciate you sharing your feedback with us. We are so happy to hear that the flexibility we offer in our Crawley office suits you well. We truly believe that is very important for our employees work life balance. We are sorry to hear that you feel that there are limited opportunities for career progression in CGG. We value our employees and strive to provide opportunities for growth and advancement. We highly recommend you to complete your check-ins with your manager at our Launch platform. Having check-ins provides you with an opportunity to reflect on accomplishments and plan with a focus on development topics that matter to you. Please reach out to your local HR to discuss how we can support your personal growth in areas related to both technical and personal skills. Thanks, CGG Team

Pros

Viridien is a great company to work for, with a positive and professional working environment. The company has a strong international footprint, a diverse mix of nationalities and backgrounds, and a good balance of technical depth and business ambition. Colleagues are friendly, collaborative, and highly capable, and the leadership team is generally accessible and open to discussion. The work can be challenging and intellectually interesting, especially for people who enjoy technical, global, and client-facing environments.

Cons

Career progression could be much clearer and more structured. Promotion paths, development plans, and expectations for advancement are not always easy to understand, which creates uncertainty for employees who want to grow within the company. Salaries are also slightly below market average in some areas, and compensation should remain competitive to retain strong talent. Like many global technical companies, priorities can also shift quickly, so clearer communication and consistency would help.
