Pros

1. Very talented people are conned into joining the company so you do have the luxury of working with exceptional people around you 2. Sincere and hardworking people are royally exploited, so it is a good learning in terms of the worst life can throw at you and infuses ample confidence to come out stronger 3. Childish planning, poor company strategy and on the spur decision making ensures that you get a lot of exposure to learning how things should not be done and become a better professional

Cons

Preface: All the negative reviews out there are authentic and honest. They are not at all exaggerated but just the tip of the Iceberg of what lies within. Some of the positive ones are an outcome of the HR pestering current employees to write good reviews. 1. The self-proclaimed world-class tech company does not even have an automated payroll system which ensures that it takes at least 15 additional days on an average for your salary to reflect into your bank account(Example: You can expect your salary for the month of January to be reflected by 15th February, if you are lucky) . It is an irony that the company is into building AI, ML and NLP based products. 2. Similarly, in case you have dues (which I strongly suggest to not get conned into any scheme), it can take 6-8 months to be cleared. 3. If you are looking for augmenting your skills, learning new things, harnessing your abilities, etc. please look somewhere else. You'll be used here as the FALL guy during your tenure. 4. You should keep in mind that you are selling your self-respect and dignity when joining VMock and expect no less 5. In terms of the work, you will be required to work long hours like 16-18 hours 7 days a week (w.r.t to IST) followed by pointless meetings during the night with Founders (w.r.t CST) where you'll be usually pulled up and asked stupid rhetorical questions. This 1-way communication is pretty good because your perseverance and patience usually shoots up after a day's work 6. Campus Hiring decisions (both tech and non-tech) are taken with an anticipation of the number of people leaving the company and there is absolutely no regard to the skills or the roles and responsibilities associated with any such decision. 7. On your first day you will be told that you will have complete ownership of your work and from the very next day, the micromanagement will start. If you are delivering results then you will be questioned on your processes and if you are focusing on the processes you will be questioned on where are the results? This vicious cycle will go on till time immemorial. And soon you will realize that no matter what you do it will never be good enough. 8. Excessive time will be wasted by making you work and plan for a very critical project. You will be questioned, belittled and criticised on your work. And in the coming days the project will fizzle out and the artificial urgency will be nowhere to be seen. Why? Oh - the mood changed! Or maybe it was a long weekend and the plan was to make your life miserable. It is also a mystery that usually the request from Founders will be coming in on Fridays with a deadline to be delivered by Mondays only to be forgotten by Tuesdays. 9. Basic Amenities like a cafeteria, canteen, claim processing system, cab facility, or anything that is synonymous with an organization is basically missing. 10. There is a genuine need for experienced professionals to take up operations in the company, both in case of guiding projects, strategy, mentoring developers etc. But then, experienced people are usually smart enough to sense what they are getting into.
