Pros

- Gain experience - Company is growing - Free water and fruits

Cons

Very unpleasant working environment: - Extra hours are expected and have to be done in order to manage the often huge workload, but extra hours are not paid/no days off in return. - No flexibility of working times. Even if there are periods of little work staff has to stay and do nothing/read internal procedures. - Lunch break is exactly one hour, you cannot leave/come back 10 minutes earlier/later. - Generally low employee appreciation and as a consequence extremely high employee turnover (people should just "function"). - Hierarchic, bureaucratic and therefore often inefficient structures. - Low salaries and introduction of "non-competition-clause" in order to legally prevent employees from leaving and working for competitors - Saving on everyone and everything possible, which results in slow PCs and other IT issues - Dirty toilets

Pros

I've been working at VAT Systems for a month now and I couldn't be more happy to be accepted here. The initial month is mostly training and I had the pleasure to learn from the best professionals and to really develop my skills. The training is very intensive and well guided by experienced consultants and accountants, who are extraordinarely available to teach everything. The various phases of the training are all crucial and very challenging so you feel the challenge since the first day. I was very well received and I'm already integrated with my work colleagues, who are, with no exceptions, extraordinary people. The company is handling the Covid-19 situation very well as they are so responsible and worried about the safety of us all. The installations are very pleasant and wel equiped. And the worktime is very flexible. Now I am fully motivated to start to work and have my own responsabilities, in an environment in which I know I can grow and build a solid career.

Cons

The only con for me is that it is a little far away from home but since there is the option for two days home office that won't be an issue!

Pros

I have worked at the company for over a year and a half and I think that in these times a lot has changed for the better. With the "entry" of Ryan there were many improvements and I think that a lot will improve in the company. It is a company that always gives an intensive training to new employees and that gives training to all workers, which is always an asset. It is always looking for new opportunities and always tries to motivate the employees. Every year they give objectives to each employee and if you meet them you are rewarded for it, having the opportunity to grow in the company. The compliance team is very young and the team spirit and teamwork is very good, you can always count on colleagues to help you. There are also the following advantages (which are not found in all companies): - Flexible hours; - Bank of hours; - Birthday day off; - More three days of holidays than usual (in Portugal).

Cons

- Salary should be higher, since all employees have degrees. - We could received the food subsidie by card (higher amount) - More incentives should be given
