Pros

Admirable mission, beautiful grounds, four-day work-week.

Cons

People are fired at-will without being put on performance review plans. Many long-term employees with "that's the way we've always done it attitudes." Low pay. Raises when they have the money. Top-down management. Lack of communication between employees and management. Low morale. Understaffed.

Pros

Generally, most colleagues and visitors/customers you'll deal with are very kind.

Cons

Nepotism has become rampant since the current CEO took over. The organization cannot seem to make up it's mind on what direction it's taking. Basic improvements to processes, equipment, or workspace take years to complete because decisions get tied up at the executive level. Pay and communication are abysmal. The organization brags about their 4 day work week and flexible hours yet does nothing to ensure employees in 24 hour or on call departments can enjoy those benefits like their colleagues in regular business hour departments. Advancement is nearly impossible. DEI initiatives only seem relevant when convenient.
