Pros

Lots of training opportunities. Central location.

Cons

Extremely bureaucratic and hierarchical. Senior management totally blind to the challenges of the people on the floor. Lots of senior managers who have been in the company for 15-20+ years, so they don't know anything else and are stuck in the old ways. Senior mangers moving positions every 2-3 years leads to lack of continuity. Limited promotion opportunities, especially for people in the digital space (which is still very new for the company) Preferential treatment of people in the Future Leaders Program, who would get promotion over someone who joined the company externally, despite significantly less experience.

Under resourced and underpaid for the skills I bring to the table, which contributes to retention issues

Pros

Working with brands you grew up with is really exciting! The people I have met have all been amazing as well!

Cons

Everyone I have talked to are overworked and feel underpaid and despite the amount of work they do, there is no recognition or appreciation. Upper management is a mess and UL is constantly restructuring, often going from new BACK to the old structure while simultaneously letting people go leaving more people overworked. While most people are amazing, there are a few micromanagers where expectations are unknown. In addition, the lack of communication is awful. Often, I hear about certain cuts through the vine rather than directly from the people involved
