Flexible Hours, But Diminishing Returns for Long-Time Drivers - Rideshare Driver Uber Employee Review

Pros

The biggest pro has always been the flexibility. I had complete control over my schedule and could work whenever it suited me, whether that was early mornings, late nights, or just a few hours here and there. Being my own boss in that regard was a major benefit.

Cons

The primary con is the significant decline in pay over the years. When I started, the earnings were decent, but now it feels like a constant race to the bottom. Fares are lower, Uber's commission feels higher, and I have to work significantly more hours just to make what I used. The wear and tear on my vehicle for diminishing pay makes it a much tougher job than it once was.

Pros

I love being able to work around truly passionate people who are ready to change the world. The culture is great, free snacks and food is big plus. I had the opportunity to take ownership of projects within my first month

Cons

The hours are much longer than any other job I've worked in, but this is expected to change as we continue hiring more help
