Pros
Braindead easy job with TONS of downtime and no serious responsibility. Most employees are covered by the union so job security is great. Enjoy free snacks weekly and pretty decent tuition reimbursement for students. Without a doubt this is the easiest job I have ever had and it is relatively stress free. On top of that if you and your crew are somewhat social, the few work hours fly by.
Cons
If you want more hours and don't plan on working here several years first, give it up. There are great things about being in the union but seniority, for a newer employee, is a pain, and don't forget the union dues you'll be paying. A bad supervisor can also make or break your experience on the ramp and lead to unnecessary work tasks, attitudes, and stress. If you are the type of person who isn't comfortable sitting around for often times hours at a time, this is definitely not the job for you.
