Which department you work for and how much money you make depends on who hired you. Do not accept a job as a direct door to door sales rep. Take leads or find another company. Bro culture with Hype meetings excessively. Way too many unnecessary meetings. Sometimes they had "daily check ins". The reality is they were ways for the managers who didn't do much but collect overrides to show that they were doing something. (see below) Too many managers who are not productive taking overrides reducing your commissions and causing inflated prices for the homeowners. All for the service of holding hype meetings and toughen up talks to get you to go sell, sell , sell. Was not a fan of the CEO at all. Completely tone deaf when it came to the pandemic, and came out with a toughen up attitude. They should have let go of their salesforce so that they could claim unemployment, but instead they made everyone go from a door to door sales approach to cold calling old customer lists of people who had already said no. All the while they were feeding their favorites with purchased leads and pretending they were self gens. They also play favorites blatantly. They feed their inner circle with leads and pretend like these individuals are self generating their own sales when they are not. Then they belittle those who are not out knocking on doors as lazy. There are so many other solar companies that will pay you a much higher commission rate. while you are able to offer customers a much better price. Understand what a redline is, what Price Per Watt is, and how your commission structure works. If they can't explain it in simple math (cause that's what it is), then don't work there. There is little to no training for new sales reps. I was told someone would shadow me out in the field and teach me how to go through the basic in home process. It was about 6 months before someone did this and at that point I had already figured it out.
