Pros
The location couldn’t be better, located right on Main Street in downtown Royal Oak, it’s easy to pick up your morning coffee or step out for lunch. Everyone who works here has a passion for what they do and a genuine interest being an industry leader. Coworkers are always willing to help get you up to speed on anything that you are less experienced with. We have a tight knit group of employees, and no one goes unnoticed. Management is very receptive to constructive criticism and is constantly creating opportunities for employees to speak their minds. There is a strong focus on teamwork where every individual is essential to keeping the company going strong. There are opportunities for advancement, and a lot of potential to work up in the company. Hard work is always recognized, and the projects are very rewarding. There is a flextime program that can include working from home and flexible start times. Half days are common in the summer and holidays are often extended. Whether you are an expert or beginner in your field, there’s always more to learn, and in this fast paced work environment I feel like I learn something new every day. Since I began working for Trademark my work has improved drastically. Everyone here knows how to have fun, people are comfortable with speaking their minds and joking. We’ve gone on multiple outings during work hours to do fun and quirky activities with some friendly competition.
Cons
Working in an agency can be mentally exhausting. There is always a lot to be done, and you must be able to work efficiently all the time. There is no time for mistakes. Multi-tasking can get tricky when you are clocking your time for an array of clients, so you must be extremely diligent. There are many great ideas in the office, but because we are so busy we don’t always have time to pursue them.
