Pros
Great people who work here, well most of them anyway. you will make friends because its an out of college type Job so they say. so everyone is young and fun.
Cons
If you want a slap in the face come work here 25% commission and they make it seem so great like you will make 100's of thousands of dollars. the truth is you will never do it, the market or customers that you will be calling have been called 1000 times by Idiots that TQL employ's. Customers cant stand TQL and Drivers hate them as well, if you look anywhere on truckers forums they talk about TQL and how they lie and cheat and are so stupid and know nothing of the industry. Lets talk about Training... is there training? sure if that what you call it, and not to mention a internet based classes that you are required to take to learn more about the industry which goes on and on for the remainder of your career which is garbage as well. Lets break this down so you really understand and lets do some math. Salary 35K for 1 year and at that point you are forced to go commission, Great commission , but wait we only make 25% commission for all the work that we do, so wait let me get this straight we have to cold call like crazy to actually find a customer, then I have to book my own trucks and make sure everything is going smoothly, then I have to make sure my customers pay on time other wise I don't get my money at all. Wait then on top of that you have a 35K a year Draw now for those who don't understand that its money to live off of because you have to pay the 35K off every pay period. so lets get to that math. Pay period is every 2 weeks and is about 1400 every two weeks. so now in order to pay off your draw you need to produce 3000K a week, but now lets not get ahead or ourselves, remember TQL does not pay you until the customer pays. so in that case your draw starts to pile up every week so It may take you 6 months or longer to pay that sucker off depending on how many customers you can turn. Here is another tip to think about as well, why screw a customer to make 1000 ,2000, or ever 100000 profit on a customer. is that Fair most at TQL will say HELL YEAH , but think about this when a customer that you have ben screwing finds out that you screwed them what do you think will happen? any thoughts. Look to finalize this if freight brokering is what you want to do I suggest going somewhere else I make 70% commission I get paid every week I work how I want to call who I want to and I make over 100K a year and I have no stress.
