Pros

Frat House environment if that's what you're into.

Cons

Where do I even start.... My first week there the sales manager, whose account I was supposed to look over and be trained by, was gone for the whole week. The desk spot they put me at was next to this JBL party box, making it virtually impossible to communicate over the phone. When you're in the training phase you literally do all the work for the account manager, then you're expected to make cold calls to people that want no part in TQL. When you do get someone on the phone and make a sale, you wont be seeing any of that money. They have a commission draw set up where you have to be making a certain amount of revenue before you can make commission- thus leaving you to the measly 43k salary. These recruiters and managers SELL you a false dream, the turnover rate there is astronomical for a reason. They will hire anyone that'll learn the system, use them for labor for 6 months, cut them when they don't meet the ridiculous KPI metrics. To be actually successful here you either have to work near 60+ hours a week for YEARS waking at 4am to "snipe" accounts that have been released due to inactivity, or be handed an account by a retiring SR level manager. RUN from this company!

Pros

I wouldn’t recommend working at TQL to my enemy, much less a friend.

Cons

Did 300k in revenue in first full year out of training, came home with 50k before taxes. Read the fine print on when you’ll get paid vs when TQL keeps your commissions.

Pros

The training is top notch. You will get a very in depth understanding of logistics working here if you are committed. You do have the opportunity to make money here if you work very hard. If you can get to the point of having a successful book of business you will have a lot of freedom and basically put yourself in a position to work for yourself. Even if you don't make it in a sales role, if you show up and work hard in the start they will almost always offer you a lucrative position in a recruiting/operational role. You will learn a lot more than just logistics in this role. It is a "fun" position once you get going because you have the ability to make your own path.

Cons

This job is very hard work! It can be very discouraging in the start and the pay without comission is just enough to get by depending on where you live. The management is not always great, it's very hit or miss depending on where you end up. Management is hired based on sales revenue and not based on leadership skills. It will be extremely hard in the start and your likelihood of success will depend on factors outside of your control. The first 6 months can be brutal and you won't feel much job security. Nepotism is a huge factor in your success here, you can work harder than others and they can be far more successful through nepotism. It is a very high stress job. You will be expected to handle sales, operations, billing, and accounting all at once. Out of all these, the biggest con is the 75 day rule on commission. You can land a million dollar account but if the customer's payment processes 76 days after the invoice was sent you receive no commission on those invoices. You are expected to make them pay on time which is almost completely out of your control. If they pay on day 76 or later the company takes all the money and you receive nothing.
