Pros

Some smart, fun coworkers. Remote work. Experience gained in the tech industry. That's it.

Cons

Where to even begin? This company used to be so promising. After securing funding, hires were made & culture was supportive, even fun. But...over time all of the charm & culture of the company was completely erased. Also, certain teams are treated like trash (wrongfully) & other teams are treated (wrongfully) like Gods. It's a game of favoritism. The reality is that sales (lots of leadership turnover) & the engineering team are failing, making other teams pay the price. In late 2023, what was called the first round of layoffs occurred & the employees who experienced the brunt of other failing teams did not receive much support, especially since this happened before the holidays. This company does not care about its employees, its product is failing & it shows. People are leaving as quickly as they can now even though it's hard to find a job right these days. What more proof do you need?

Pros

We're a tight-knit group of 20 engineers, scattered worldwide. Our engineering team seamlessly collaborates with the design and product squads, forming a powerhouse of creativity. We're not your typical tech team—we're consistently rolling out new features and tackling bugs with lightning speed every week. Imagine diving into code in week one, and voila, revealing a sleek new feature by month one. That's the kind of awesomeness we're rocking here!

Cons

Figuring out the perfect time for team meetings can be a bit tricky in our fully distributed setup. We take pride in embracing top talents from all corners, but there's always room to enhance our approach. Exploring the idea of hiring from specific locations or setting up more structured regional teams could really shake things up. It's all about striking that balance between flexibility and cohesion, and we're on a mission to find that sweet spot!

Pros

Supportive co-workers, remote work, respected product in schools

Cons

Freemium version of Thunkable was difficult to sell against. Especially internationally
