Pros

-Amazing mission that attracts people who are truly here for the cause -A leadership team that genuinely cares about its people -Strong company culture and all around great people to work with

Cons

-TMP is not a tech company, it’s a staffing company so the pay is lower than what you see for comparable engineering roles at technology and software startups -Contrary to our branding and external communications, the company is not remote or flex friendly. Prior to the pandemic forcing us to go fully remote, only select strategic hires and the CEO's college friends were allowed to work remotely while everyone else was required to be in the office 4 days a week from 9-5. The team has raised this several times in company town halls only to be dismissed by the executive team with vague explanations and catch all phrases such "we're better together." No one really believes this given that our CTO who runs 3 highly collaborative departments does not live or work in Chicago. Ironically enough the company is now positioning itself as a leader in the future of work and is even providing remote work consulting services.

A great mission, and fellow coworkers who believe in it.

Awful leadership at the executive level, and some managers who were truly not made to lead.
