Pros

None that I can think of off the top of my head.

Cons

In spite of what management has stated in responses to other reviews on Glass Door things are not so nice at DP. They recently increased a few of the old boy drivers' hourly rates by 2% and at the same time reduced trip rates by 28%.. not what you call an increase in pay for anyone. The newly installed driver manager is really an old retread from a few years back who has established mandatory 24 by 7 availability on non CDL drivers regardless of their personal availability creating stress on many drivers who have commitments outside of DP. Further, they have begun utilization of "secret shoppers" to report drivers who do not adhere to the 10 terms of conduct/values "inspired" by their association with The Four Seasons Troon. Those who unwittingly fail to delver on all 10 must take an unpaid class given at Troon as punishment. Unfortunately this class is comparable to traffic school... a waste of time. The tenants presented bear little to the duties of a professional chauffeur as they are focused of hotel hospitality; not professional executive livery. Basically its a concession to Troon management so they can keep the contract in place. Add to all of this a laser focus on the quality of the suits required to be worn by the chauffeurs (fanatical requirements to maintain like new jackets and dress shirts... no Chinese suits allowed!) you have a very unhealthy environment for drivers... that is unless you are one of the "old boys" who are allowed to get away with non adherence to their strict rules. Terrible place to try and make a living as a professional driver.

The Driver Provider Response
7y
This review saddens us to read. Not simply because it is critical of our company , but rather because it is a rebuke of excellence. Our clients are predominantly corporate event attendees, Fortune 500 businesspeople, and guests of high-end resorts. As such, there is an expectation of high-end service. This reviewer disagrees that such expectations are appropriate for "professional drivers"...that we should not expect our team members to adhere to client standards of attire and conduct. Our position is that we hire and train "Chauffeurs", not merely "drivers". The standards that are acceptable for taxis, Uber/Lyft, independent operators are simply not to the level that we or our clients expect. We have a written code of standards that is presented to all chauffeurs at the outset of employment, and is readily available 24-7 through our dispatch team. This is no surprise to anyone, at the outset or through the entirety of their time with The Driver Provider. There are myriad other work options for those that do not believe in adhering to our standards. Our clients require those standards of us, and we require it of our chauffeurs. Some clients ask that our chauffeurs train to learn the specific needs of their guests. We respect and participate in such training when requested, and absolutely compensate chauffeurs for their time when they do so. Any chauffeur that claims otherwise is simply not recording their time correctly, which can be easily remedied. To characterize this supplemental training as punishment is concerning. We are saddened that this reviewer feels the way they do and yet continues to voluntarily maintain employment with us...this is not a good recipe for success or happiness.

Pros

Good retirement or part time work.

Cons

Management quick to reprimand for mistake but seldom recognizes compliments from customers. Lack of maintenance on vehicles. Issues can be repeatedly reported with no action. Driver management does not reply to emails or text unless it affects their bottom line or is complaint related. Turnover rate is very high. Not employee friendly. Management expects high standard but does not listen to suggestions to improve vehicle maintenance or customer services. Some archaic protocol that would apply to pre-digital communications and services such as news papers and business publication on board.
