Pros

A paycheck. Office location is good, however right above the IRS (expect an audit). Recently remodeled workspace (wonder if this would have saved a job or two). Very diverse workplace. Primarily Indian with Pakistani influences.

Cons

No loyalty or solid direction on where they are going. The executive team knew for a year that they were losing a large client, however never let on to employees that there would be staff cuts. Then when they made the cuts they basically ambushed employees as they came in. Some of these employees had been with the company for quite some time. Over ten years in some cases. The CTO is extremely passive aggressive and tends to micromanage. Their project management team is led by and up and coming egomaniac who is definitely more concerned with getting his ticket punched, then moving on. They obviously never had a handle on what losing one client would do to them financially. Any realistic projection would have to include them losing more clients and having to reduce staff even more. Business is business, however you need to have a clue as to what you are spending and plan accordingly. They have some talented people, however most of these should move on now while the market is decent. There is no way you can have job security here.

Pros

The company is solid, and the leadership team has a lot of good experience. They understand the insurance industry and know what it is like to work as a service rep, underwriter, tech, etc. The company has been doing much better the last few years, and signing more clients, which results in better pay and advancement. Being a fully remote workplace gives me alot of flexibility but the virtual interaction over teams is still great

Cons

Being remote you do miss in-person interactions

Pros

They’ll mail you a coffee mug with the company logo and host occasional “mandatory fun” Zoom happy hours. You might get a branded hoodie once a year. They love to promote “flexibility,” but in reality, you're just always online and expected to be available 24/7. If surface-level remote perks are your thing, you'll be thrilled.

Cons

The President is completely disconnected from employees and micromanages through layers of ineffective leadership. Decisions change weekly with no explanation. Career growth is nonexistent, and recognition is rare unless you're part of the inner circle. Communication is poor, accountability is worse, and turnover is sky-high. Working remotely doesn’t protect you from toxic leadership—it just isolates you while it happens.
