The significant lack of efficient processes throughout the organization creates an environment where simple things are much harder than they should be. It is siloed within departments and companywide, and the lack of collaboration between departments and colleagues can be toxic. There are inadequate HR policies, no L & D opportunities, zero employee enrichment, nonexistent DEI initiatives, and an annual employee evaluation process that is not taken seriously. Lots of egos and power imbalances and no accountability for those who are treating others poorly. On the face of things, the company seems to be progressive and forward-thinking and publicizes all the trendy ESG metrics, but the majority of it is performative and does not translate into the organization's day-to-day culture.
