Pros
Smaller firm providing similar services to banks, giving you access to much more than would be the case a big broker-dealer
Cons
There is a reason that the firm's market cap is only marginally climbing when it should be shooting up. The firm is an odd one with significant potential but half of the employees are still doing outdated things the same as they did at they're respective firms when acquired and as such the firm is already lagging peers in several areas. Those who shouts the loudest get business cases and products approved, that are not even remotely the best available potential profit generators to the firm and it's shareholders but rather part of empire building and during my time none of the new projects or business lines came close to achieving the success that it promised within the timelines (despite the hiring of half a dozen new MDs per project).
