They preach "Work Life Balance" but if you want to keep your job.... There is no such existence !!!!! - General Manager Sodexo Employee Review

Pros

A steady pay check at best; Financial pressures through the ACE initiative are nearly impossible to achieve. Most accounts have a mandatory contract re-bids, which is an awful experience to live through even of you are a high performer with excellent reviews.

Cons

Stress and long hours are a drastic understatement! Like every other large company; they preach "the value of employees" and their " work life balance" but really are only concerned about the budget and will require endless hours for weeks on end... or ax a manager to save a dollar at a moments notice. In-Unit HR is known for practicing sketchy practices to eliminate "unpopular" employees, or manager who don't fit in with the management regime. Upper management heavily micro-manages, which prevents productivity and actually eliminates the effectiveness of the Middle management team completely.

Pros

My direct coworkers and other onsite employees are amazing and some of the nicest and most welcoming people I’ve ever met. The day to day responsibilities are enjoyable to work on most days. Company phone provided for work communications during work hours (you don’t have to take them home with you) Free meals on shifts worked (with restrictions) “Set schedule”

Cons

Work life balance is not great. You hire on for one position or schedule and then end up being required to perform job duties that are outside of your description on top of your daily responsibilities. Wages are really low. Unfair distribution of allotted overtime hours. Benefits are not good either. Insurance is really expensive for not great coverage. Maternity leave is only 6 weeks and only 60% of your pay covered by short term disability (that you pay for out of pocket until 2 years of service)
